SLA/DLP/LCD 3D printere
SLA (stereolitografi) anses for den oprindelige 3D printteknologi, hvor plast i flydende form (resin) hærdes ved belysning med en ultraviolet laser. Siden er andre lyskilder kommet til. DLP (Digital Light Processing) anvender kraftigt LED-lys, mens MSLA anvender LCD-paneler. Fordi resinen hærdes med lys, tilbyder SLA, DLP og MSLA tyndere lagtykkelser og en højere opløsning end FDM (filamentprint) og dermed en finere detaljeringsgrad. Resin-printere er derfor populære til finmekanik, smykkefremstilling, dental- og audiologiformål, modelbygning, studier i væskedynamik, print af støbeforme mm.
